Aegishjalmur, or the Helm of Awe, is an Icelandic magical symbol of protection, also called stave, which has the power to induce fear and to protect against abuse of power. Early Vikings used to inscribe it on the forehead between the eyes. Aegishjalmur's main purpose was to protect and dominate in battle and also to instill fear and conquer fear in own mind.
Futhark, or runic alphabet, goes around the pendant. The runic alphabet is a collection of magical symbols. The runes have names, phonetic and magical meanings. The Uruz rune is enlarged in the center top which serves as the bail of the pendant.
The leather bracelet is hand stamped embossed with the Celtic motif knots of raven heads and hand-stitched on both edges. The leather bracelet full length measures 9" inches or 230 mm.
The bronze pendant is the same on both sides and ox finished for antique look. Pendant diameter is 1.5" inches or 32 mm.
